The Tampa Buccaneers are one of the many teams in the NFL trying to start from the ground up and rebuild their franchise. After the Super Bowl win in 02′ the Buccaneers haven’t had much success.

Donovan McNabb is the face of the Philadelphia Eagles. The storied veteran is now in his 30s, but he’s nearly as effective as he’s ever been. With Brett Favre still playing, it shows that even on the wrong side of 30, QBs can still be effective.

With a disappointing season in 08′, 6-10, behind the Green Bay Packers, the team looks to be a contender in the NFC North Division. They’re strong on both sides of the ball and have a young QB that can take this team to the next level.

The Dallas Mavericks lost in the second round to the Denver Nuggets in the 09′ playoffs. This time the Mavs weren’t the favorites but the under dogs – which they are not familiar in being.

The Houston Texans were the trendy pick at the start of the 09′ season. The Houston Texans never had expectations this high before in the franchises 7 year history. I guess they have the right to set expectations this high after a solid performance in 2008, with a very young team.

The ’08 season for the Seattle Seahawks was a lost season if you will – no one could stay healthy and the season was over before it began.

The Miami Dolphins were the feel good story of the 2008 NFL season. The team finished with a 1-15 regular season record in 2007, and was written off as quite possibly the worst football team of the decade.

The Cleveland Browns are one of the oldest football franchises playing today, circa 1946. The Browns haven’t had much to cheer about in 2008 and 09′ isn’t much better.

After a week 1 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars that saw the Colts barely squeak by with a 14-12 win, the team faces what should be a tougher opponent in Jacksonville during week 2 on the national stage.

I was really excited to see the beginnings of my favorite sports competition in the world. I’m not referring to the NFL, not MLB, not even UEFA. Keep on guessing.
